Daniel Blausey, MA ATR-BC
Daniel is an art therapist, psychotherapist, artist and former non-profit senior manager with over 18 years experience in mental health/substance abuse provision and supervision, creative arts therapy programming, and youth development. Areas of clinical specialization and experience are life transitions, trauma, male sexual abuse/assault, and the mental health care and family support for the LGBTQ community.
Daniel has proven the ability to drive results, lead teams, deploy effective strategies and manage complex projects. Demonstrated successes are departmental/agency vision, financial oversight, and grant writing/program development. Daniel is the former director of mental health services at Gay Men’s Health Crisis and The Door, A Center of Alternatives (comprehensive youth agency) in New York City.
Currently Daniel is an adjunct faculty member at Naropa University’s Graduate School of Psycholog in the Art Therapy concentration of the Transpersonal Counseling Psychology Degree Program. Previously he was on adjunct faculty member of the art therapy graduate programs at New York University and the School of Visual Arts.
